Going Deeper with Hendrickson Method® - Lower Body
Practitioners learn to apply strokes more deeply in two specific ways; First, we must be comfortable in our own bodies while working at the table. Second, we must deepen our understanding of the specific region we are addressing. This daylong seminar explores the anatomy, kinesiology, pathology, and energetic quality of the low back, buttocks, hips and pelvis. Advanced Level Wave-Mobilization™ strokes will be taught utilizing supine and side-lying client positions, and an elegant, upright stance for the practitioner working at the table. To round out our study, we will also explore deep emotional and developmental connections that may be stored in the lower body. Through movement practice, we will gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between low back issues and the dynamics of the pelvis, hips and legs. Handouts will be provided to allow students to offer these movement practices to their clients. Table work will be both supine and side-lying. Students will need 2 standard pillows.

Going Deeper with Hendrickson Method® - Clinical Approach to Neck and Shoulder Massage
This course provides an in depth and practical study of deep anatomical structures relating to the neck and shoulder. Students will learn manual therapy techniques to treat the muscles, tendons, ligaments and neurovascular bundles within the three dimensional structures of the cervical region and shoulder girdle.
We will explore clinical considerations such as FHP (forward head posture), whiplash injuries, and repetitive stress injuries common to the shoulder.
Our work is very deep and gentle, creating a profound experience of relaxation and kindness for both client and therapist. Body mechanics – focusing on an upright stance and excellent therapist ergonomics will be taught on a group level and emphasized individually with each student.
